David Callahan, III

A founding partner of CW Firm, David Callahan, III focuses his practice on probate and estate litigation services.

After graduating cum laude from the University of Alabama, David went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Nashville School of Law, where he received the school’s Moot Court Award. After law school, David was admitted to practice law by the Tennessee Supreme Court. He began his career handling probate litigation for a large regional law firm’s Nashville office.

While practicing probate law in Nashville, David went on to earn his Master of Law degree in taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law.

A member of the Nashville Bar Association and WealthCounsel, David is also a former member of the American Inn of Court and Belmont University College of Law Inn of Court.  He has been selected by his peers as a Super Lawyers Rising Star and was recognized in the Nashville Post’s “Law Leaders Rising.”

Outside of the office, David is also dedicated to improving the community he serves. He’s a board member of Team Chad, a group dedicated to fighting leukemia. From July 2013 to July 2014, David completed 52 triathlons in 52 weeks to raise money and awareness for Team Chad.

Prior to David’s efforts with Team Chad, he was a triathlon coach and mentor for the Nashville Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training. While coaching with Team in Training, David was named the 2010 Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year.

He also serves on the board of directors for the Tennessee chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and on the junior board of directors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. David is focused on continuing his involvement with worthy and energized local charities to continue to make Nashville a great place to live, work, and play.
